Wood is a prospective material against the problems of mineral resource shortage and global warming. The continuous cycle of planting and growing of trees is essential prerequisite for sustainability. The increase of wood use can support the continuous cycle for the sustainable forestry as an industry. |

Wood is also considered to be a renewable energy resource. Wood is a renewable energy source in the sense that a tree cut for fuel will naturally be replaced by a young tree that springs up in its place. Using wood from well-managed woods provides a renewable source of fuel as well as giving woodland owners an incentive to manage their land productively, improving conditions for wildlife. |
